I have heard a little bit about these trials from Dr. Gibney also. Good to know that being on Z beforehand doesn’t exclude you. I hope one of these trials will benefit your brother. Does he see Dr. Gibney normally and does he like him? I do and I like him also. We will be seeing him Dec 21st to see if Z is working for me-first scans since started medicine. Good luck and keep fighting!

That is awesome news Jim! I am so happy that you have met this great milestone…5 years! Sorry I haven’t been able to catch up with you regarding my struggles but I feel we are finally on the right track…finally taking Zelboraf. I even got to meet Kathie the other day while I was admitted to Moffitt for a few days… Melanoma warriors rock! Keep up the fight. Hope to talk to you soon .

Tina, the soap idea worked like a charm. Not sure why I didn’t try that before. They came off like nothing to it!!

Thanks for info! I do have an email in to my oncologist since it is the weekend and plan on calling my Derm on Monday. I have tried running my hands under cold water and ice packs but I will try the soap idea.

I am actually dealing with a swollen face right now… How long did your husband’s face swell for? What did he do if anything to make it go away? I was trying to taper out my steroids but now with my swollen face I am back to the normal steroid dose. I haven’t seem to have really any other major side effects yet. I did have a few headaches and a small rash on my chest but it is already going away. Has your husband had to take any breaks from the Z?? Thanks for any of your input.
