Elaine, I also see Dr. kendra. I am still stage 3 but am doing my next set of scans on Wed the 23rd. Just kind of wondering if you had any side effects or if you could tell when you had the lung nodules. Were you short of breath or coughing or any thing or did you just get lucky to find them on a scan.smiley

Thats a great accomplishment. Tou should feel a whole lot safer after making it all the way through. I was only able to finish 3 months of interferon due to complications. I hope you are one of the responders to the treatment and Melanoma does not visit you again. I for one have not had a reoccurance yet and I am one year from being diagnosed so I am hoping that 3 months worth did the trick for me. Who knows maybe we can both put this desease on our back buners and keep breathing easy now.

Interferon for me did not work out as we planned for as I had to quit it after 3 months because of getting so sick. Ends up I developed pancreatitus and spent almost 2 months in hospitals trying to get over it. I do believ however that getting throu the first month of high doses has kept me from progressing to stage 4 as it has been since march of this year when I started it and quit in late may. Still stage 3 and hope to stay that way.

Yea, I guess the initial schock is over and I am a little more at ease and sort of know what I am doing now in regards to looking up info and treatment options and all. This site has also helped calm me down a bit , as before I discoverd it I felt like I was all alone in this new battle. Nice to be able to talk to others in my condition.
