Hello Mike,
it it with great sadness that I right this post. Ezio passed away last Monday. He had lost the fight. We had tried everything and in the end. The tumours in the lung shrank and the brain kept growing. We just ran out of time.

Mike
hang in there and stay positive, my husband to the last month seems to really going down. Simple things are hard to do. He is really depressed now. But we must stay positive. See your new doc and see what he says. You may be pleasantly surprise. Have courage, faith and hope in these dark days. There will be light.
lots of positive prayers and good thoughts

Thanks Ed and Ann, We are taking pembro and ipi. After the second dose of ipi we started seeing way more issues. We have a MRI this Friday to see what's going on. Not even the high dose dexamethasone is helping with mobility issues.

thank you for all your good thoughts. Unfortunately Ezio is not waking up. We were going to try and rechallenge with the target therapy, but he has to be awake to take the pills. The doctor says to prepare for end of life. They have done everything possible. There just making him comfortable.
I write this with such a heavy heart

Hi Mike
Ezio is still the same. Fades in and out of sleep. He is very restless at night. They say it’s the steroids. He had another siezure last night , the doctor says there’s still must be pressure on the brain. We really need this to kick in and work. Problem is he has over 50 brain mets.
But miracles and long shots do happen
praying every moment

Hi Mike
Ezio is 52 year old, and boy are we having a ruff week. , he is in the hospital, semi awake. , fade in and out. We definitely have side effects. Rash , and sweating like crazy. We just need the yervoy to do its magic on those brain mets.

There holding the immunothearpy treatments right now, They said it could be life threatening with so much brain swelling, The other thing is we started seeing a full body rash and diarrhea now too. So side effects are now showing up. It's a wait and see right now.

We are in canada and receiving treatments at princess Margaret hospital in Toronto. They are a top research hospital. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any clinical trails for brain mets. We are doing a MRI on Friday to see what's going on. And at that point we will see if the radation oncologist can do anything else.
hoping and praying
