Does anyone have experience with being treated with Yervoy (ipilimubab) at UAB Kirklin Clinic in Birmingham?  My husband has metastatic melanoma stage IV and has started Yervoy in another state.  I need to know who the best oncologist is to contact at Kirlin for continued Yervoy treatments.

          Hi there,

My husband is currently at UAB with Dr. Robert Conry at the Acton Road location.

My husband is Stage 4 but his tumor was resected so we haven't been offered Yervoy yet (we are in the dilema of being Stage 4 but NED).   We meet with Dr. Conry again in the next two weeks and I plan to ask him about this to clarify if my husband qualifies for Yervoy or not.

Even though we don't personally have experience with Yervoy, I still believe Dr. Conry would be a good place to start.

There is a Carla Falkson that I've noticed has some trials dealing with ipi, but we haven't dealt with her directly.
