Still no end to it, ended up in ER with bleeding from the rectum. Was released with amd told to see GI. Following day went to oncologist who called the paramedics which has started a stay cation at the hospital. In the mean time an abscess (4 by 2) decided to grow over a 24 hr period and infect all areas below the waste. Minor surgery to drain and now due to the location of the abscess and the constant watery diarrhea a butt cath has been put in place.
On a clear diet that includes TPN for the next 12 weeks to give everything a rest and let colon and intestines heal… hopefully.
Since the diarrhea is a side effect to the Ipi/Nivo it looks as thought the Nivo maintenances is no longer an option.
Since the third treatment in June and 20 days of radiation the mass has gone down by two-thirds. Next scan is hopefully in two weeks.
Any experiences with switching course that was easy on the colon and intestines- we are all ears!
