Good Morning!
Well tomorrow is finally the day…Ehhh! I feel as if I have been waitng for this day forever. I feel as if I am a nervouse wreck, which I am sure that is normal. I know that I am doing the right thing, its not right to just "watch and wait" at Stage IIIB for three months. Who does that?! Why not kill the unknown! One moment I am excited to start this and then the next I am driving myself crazy with anxiety! At this point and time I am ready to just get this over with!
Thanks in advance for hearing me out! Feels better to let it out!!!

Hi! I am sure you are doing the right thing by starting Nivo and you have all my positive thoughts. Watch and wait is not an option for us either. My mum is Stage III C and has PET scan scheduled for 02/12 – hope it is all clear so we could also start Nivo adjuvant. However, we will need to travel abroad to get it because in my country the government does not provide funds for new treatment (not only for melanoma but many types of cancer)… Good luck to you and feel free to let it all out! We are here for you!

Hi jj,
Sadly, 'watching and waiting' is something every melanoma patient has to deal with in one form or another over the course of their disease. That doesn't make it fun, and I get what you are saying! I am glad you are on the cusp of treatment! Hang in there! You can do this!!! Keep us posted and let out your nerves and frustrations here, anytime!!! Melanoma aint easy!!! celeste

Hi jjK17, it seems like it was yesterday that I started a clinical trial called checkmate 067 from Bristol Myer Squibb. On Friday of this week it will be 4 years of treatments and my 102 treatment of Nivo. I am still here and kicking and considered a partial responder, where my lung tumors shrank and have remained stable. Hitting melanoma hard at stage 3 before it can get a foot hold makes the most sense to me personally and the science finally backs up that thinking. For many of us that have had Nivo, life goes on and the quality is great, other than dealing with some side effects like Vitiligo and fatigue and occasional acid reflux, I have had it pretty easy!!! Wishing you a good journey!!!Ed
