I am 3a and a had a positive SNB on the left side of my neck. I have a swollen lymph node or parotid gland on my right side. I met my ENT this week and he said not to worry that he does not believe they are connected. He is sending me for a scan. Has anyone else ever had a similar experience. If so was it melanoma?

Depending on where the "swollen lymph node" is, it could be something else. My primary care physician thought it was a swollen lymph node and it turned out to be subcutaneous metastasis melanoma of a regressed primary.

After surgery the surgeon said there were no lymph nodes in that area of my neck near the superficial parotid gland.

Not sure if that helps any. Just my experience.
