I am a 33 year old woman with stage 4. I just started ipi plus nivo a week ago. What side effects suggest pituitary issues? Is there anything specific I should look out for? Is it possible to catch damage to the pituitary early and avoid loss of function?

Hi Baesill,
Sorry you dealing with this, I have only done ippi alone.but there is lots of people done the combination. There is lots of side effects from all different treatment and everyone deals with treatment differently. Your consultant should be aware off side effects with treatment and my advice is any issues always tell your consultant straight away so any issues can be treated ASAP. You should have bloods checked when on treatment anyway but if you feel not well at any time small it might be speak to consultant.
you should get lots who have had this treatment and there experience of side effects give you advice am sure. Good luck take care.

First sign I had was a consistent headache that did not dissipate after a night of sleep. I actually had my headache for 2 weeks before my pituitary issues were diagnosed. I now have permanent damage to my thyroid and cortisol production. A blood test to check hormone levels is the quickest way to know if you are having issues, but an MRI is needed to prove it.
