      Hi friends!

I originally posted on this site when I was 28 and first diagnosed with primary scalp melanoma (8 years ago). Scalp melanoma’s are tricky and I learned that my current situation was to be expected within this timeframe. This is my second recurrence of scalp melanoma near the site of my original tumor. I haven’t had any spread to my lymph nodes. This website was such a fantastic resource for me at the time when I was trying to process everything. It’s come back, but I feel so ready and prepared to tackle this. I am thankful for this community and teaching me what to look out for so that I could catch this change as soon as possible, which is exactly what happened. Thank you all for your stories. It has made me stronger and feeling not so alone.

      Best,
      Teej

          Hi Teej

Sorry you are dealing with this again. Hopefully, you will not need this – but since the FDA approval of some immunotherapy and targeted treatments for melanoma in 2011, we have learned a good deal and other treatments have been discovered – so if you are interested, here is a primer of melanoma treatment I first put together in 2017 and updated recently – Primer for Current Melanoma Treatments – New and Improved Version 2022!!!!

I wish you my best. Celeste
