My ex-husband had surgery 3 wks. ago for this. The oncoligist said today there is no treatment for now. My ex is to report back every 2 months for an x-ray of his chest and blood work. I don't understand why there is no treatment. Can anyone help me?

    Thanks!

    Diane

There is not enough information provided for anyone to offer you help or information.

Did he just have the biopsy? Did he have a WLE/SNB? What was his pathology report? Is he being seen by a melanoma specialist?

A chest X-ray and bloodwork seem pointless, but there is really not enough info provided for anyone to comment.

He had the surgery 3 weeks ago. Then a PET scan that says everything is fine now. The cancer was in his lymph nodes too. Now the Oncologist wants him back every 2 months for 1 year for an x-ray of his chest (the melanoma was on his back) and blood work. We have no melanoma specialist here. Does this help?

        Thanks.
