Ok, so, didn’t share a lot about what I do for a living, but I’m an IT Business/Requirements Analyst – I design/test/implement all kinds of software application.

never, Never, NEVER worked in a site (20+ years) that required a login/PW, and there was absolutely NO link to log out, or to access your profile! So, I’m stuck in this “limbo” where Google has an old PW stuck in memory, I request a new password, change it to what I want, then CAN’T LOG OUT/BACK IN to update the PW stored in Google.

Honestly – these web sites are friggin’ templates these days. Whose brilliant idea was it to DELETE OUT the link to a user account? And please don’t advise that I search for “Log out” or “Account” – that shows up hits for cutaneous cancer and other nonsense.

Is there anyone – A-N-Y-O-N-E – out there who know how to access my account WITHOUT requesting a new PW? Seriously, WTF?

I think best to write to the web team – they are usually very helpful – but I take your points!
Have not been on prednisone for a while, but I envy you your energy! there were so many things I wanted to do and fix when on prednisone! 🙂

              good luck!! Mark

                Thanks so much!

For all other profile seekers: embedded deep in the MRF Posting Policies (see link at the end of the second paragraph above the main Patient Forum page) I found this:

0 Keep your profile up-to-date. To update your profile, click on your username on the top-right corner of the site to modify your profile

Love to! But, my name does not display in the top-right corner of the site! I did hover over that area and my cursor turned to a pointing hand, which usually indicates a link. HOWEVER, clicking didn’t display my profile page.

Does anyone else see their name in that area? If they changed their masthead colors, they may have forgotten to change the color of the link text – common newbie programmer mistake!

I have contacted support, so we’ll see what happens next.

Open MRF, Scroll all the way down to the MPIP bubble button and BLAM! No password fuss or that stupid “Im Not a Robot” confirm deal with pictures you have to choose from, once again Pros & Cons!

I’m not sure if this will work or if this is even what you are asking….but – if you are trying to edit your profile, try clicking on your user name “NewEra” from this very post. It should take you to a screen that has three tabs on top….one is “View”, another is “bulletin board post” and the third is “edit”. Under the edit tab you can update your stuff. But….not sure that is what you’re looking for. I’m pretty tired just not and decidedly not jazzed on prednisone!! HA!! Hope it helps anyhow. Celeste

                              Absolutely!

Like many of the new sites, and especially PHONE apps, the new “agile” development (get it out in the smallest viable state, the improve/enhance it as users provide feedback) didn’t consider that, if it more trouble to use than its worth, user will just go get a different app! AND, once the original app is labeled CRAP, only re-branding can fix its reputation! That’s the strategy now! I HATE it!

Hi, I agree the new website design is NOT an improvement. What might work is clearing your browser cookies for melanoma.org. The method for doing this varies with different browsers, but can be found readily via google. After clearing the cookies for melanona.org, go to the following URL:

                              https://melanoma.org/legacy/user

You should be prompted for your username and password at that point. Good luck!
