I'd appreciate advice for a melanoma specialist from MD Anderson.  I'm going there for a second opinion. Thanks!

          Ashley-

Sorry for what you're going through. I haven't been to MD but in all of my poking around I know they have a strong team. Here is a link that you can dig into. Should also have some info on setting up an appt. Wishing you all the best!

I know of another person treated there by Dr. Hwu. I know he was involved in TIL at Anderson, could be good source. Hope it helps.

Sorry for you having to go through this.  My husband had his surgery at MD Anderson and he sees two doctors for his follow-up care:  Dr. Rodabe Amaria (she specializes in care of advanced stage melanoma patients) and Dr. Janet Cormier (she is melanoma surgical specialist and did his surgery (19mm tumor removed from his back).  My husband has really responded to both and I've been extremely impressed.  My husband prefers a very straightforward communication style and both these doctors have provided very realistic guidance.  Dr. Amaria is very committed to her research and she is incredibly caring as well.  If you need any advice on MD Anderson, please just let me know.  I'm a medical librarian and live here in Houston.  good luck!
