        Hi Mike,

Isn't it good to have so many unremarkable organs?  What does the onc say about the one lung mass that has increased?

        Good wishes to you,

        Jennifer

Hi Sis, of course i love the word unremarkable! Back in 2008 i was first Scared of the word! Till i learned different lol…My current Onco only chatted briefly over the phone about results, she called the day i was to do Opdivo #6 (test results where in that day also) to postpone & go see specialist wich i am, shes concerned about that 5.2cm sucker..It will eork out though, we at MRF our strong! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hi Mike, cut it out Mike, I mean the lung mass or zap the little bastard with some stereotatic radiation. Dr. Jason luke has been running some trials in Chicago with SRS and pd-1 being used together, worth a look at what he is doing!!!

                Hi Mike,

Well, not the most fortunate of results it would appear.

Did you say they have you on traditional chemo now? Which drug are they putting you on? Is it a pill or do you need infusions?

Unfortunately you’ve got some very mixed results here but many are leaning the wrong way especially the mass that doubled in size. It’s also not good that you have spinal involvement. I had serious spinal corrosion before we figured out it was the melanoma. I’m still walking but I have chronic pain daily and have to take many narcotics. I don’t wish it for anyone so let’s hope the chemo starts working before you get too much spinal involvement.

Keep up fighting Mike, your an inspiration to us all to keep at it and never give up and something might work. You never know in this crazy world.

Thanks and have a good one,
                Jeremy

Hi Jeremy, man, your kinda hit’in the nail on the head about body pains, my onco knows & has given me Naproxin wich works great, its not muscle, its deeper then that, nerves, bones, i had a bone scan late last year (maybe early this year) nothing lit up so, dont know how quick that can spring? Im curently taking Opdivo & Yervoy (completed the 4 bags of Yervoy a month ago) and was about to do #6 of Opdivo but was cancled/postponed due to ONE TUMOR getting larger (2.4cm to now 5.2cm) , i mean comon!, just one little fuss is gunna stop treatment? The others didnt grow at all & one shrunk!! Lets ZAP the the sucker with lazer beams & continue Opdivo!. But we’ll see what goes on here in a bit, i have a referal to 2 Onco’s for 2nd opinion…Thanx Jeremy for your support, we will get comfortable again with something!..

Yeah, sometimes doesn’t it seem like it should be so easy. Just cut the shit out if me, you can pin point exactly where it’s at on the liver but they don’t cut them out, instead they want them to majically disappear. I mean pembro is currently still working for me but barely, these drugs are not a cure just yet as much as I wish it to be.

I am concerned with the part where it reads “: The Heart & great vessels demonstrate calcifications consistent with Atherosclerotic vascular disease”.
I looked that up & that doesnt sound to good, hmmm…

Overall, with the exception of the lung node, not bad.  Not sure if the degenerative changes of the spine has anything to do with melanoma?  The arteriosclerosis cited would not appear to be at all related to mel.  Just watch those fried foods!  I agree with Ed.  With the one lesion still growing somewhat, and everything else looking stable, blast that little bugger.

Yep! I mean, im up for some other type of infusion based meds, iv already had a little practice since Nov2017 with the Pembro & ipi/nivo so, but man! Were going on a year (which i shouldnt complain) im kinda wanting more “instant” results! Radiation Lazer Beam Warfare, even “maybe” surgery on the one big daddy..im starting to notice in the mornings before i get out the bed when all is quiet (as quiet as freakin’ Los Angeles can be wich isnt quiet) im noticing my weezing, gurgling again in my lungs, it slowed down there for minute but, its back again..once im up (probably gravity) im good 2 go…we will fight this! ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope "normal" remains the new normal. Congrats on all those normals and unremarkables. And tell that 5.2  guy he's got the MRF crowd booing him offstage. Keeping your October 1 appt in my thoughts

                            Lisa.
