My father started Yervoy 2 wks ago and has really gone downhill fast. His left mouth has been droopy the past few days and he refuses to call the oncologist in fear of being hospitalized. He's due for his 2nd infusion this Thursday but seeing how weak he is, and how awful he feels, I'm wondering if they may cease treatment. I'm assuming it's his brain mets causing the droop. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you all.

I don't know that Yervoy could cause someone's mouth to be "droopy", but a stroke can do this too and should be ruled out. Especially since your Dad has brain mets. – If he has had a stroke the likelihood of something more severe or irreversible occurring is increased now and for a number of months.
Considering his condition and that your Dad is seeking treatment his doctor needs to be consulted right away. If your Dad won't be honest with what is going with him both he and you cannot expect your Dad's doctor to treat him properly.
Regarding his brain mets, I hope you are seeking treatment for this and that he is seeing melanoma specialist. If not find one. My Mom had gamma knife radiation 4 days before starting Yervoy and she has done very very well. (8 treated before treatment with Yervoy and 17 treated during. 15 to 18 months ago and she's doing fantastic.) -There seems to be a synergistic effect when they are given together and it can really boost the immune systems response for responders. Talk to your Dad's doctor about this. This is the best time to try this if there is no contra-indication.
My Mom, like your Dad, was very very very resistant to discussing things with her doctors. She didn't want to mention anything to them about what was going on and minimized everything. It was up to me to piece the information together and remain in contact with her oncologist. If I had not been the one to "take charge" some very serious issues would have been left untreated and in one case she could have died. She didn't like it at the time, but was very grateful later for ensuring that she got the care she needed when she needed it.
Good luck with your Dad. Sounds like you are going to need it because he is as stubborn as my Mom.
