Geez……………. trying to research and be proactive is important but time consuming. 🙂 Since I'm less than 2 months in on this MM journey, I can only imagine how much time and how many questions have already been spent in the proactive research phase by other patients/participants on MPIP.

I spoke with a clinical trial specialist today and the only clinical trial in my area is one with high dose Interferon, so I will speak to my oncologist about it. I know there are both pros and cons regarding Interferon, and I am in daily prayer asking for guidance about making the right decision.
Molecular profiling (utilizing the Target Now program) was also mentioned. Has anyone participated in this? If so, was the information gained beneficial to your treatment?

Researching treatments is certainly very time consuming. I have been reading about
melanoma since early 2007, and it seems that researchers still have an enormous amount
of work to do. However, they have made significant progress over the last couple of years. You are probably familiar with the clinical trials site, but here is the link just in
case: http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/results/refine?term=melanomaI wonder if you would be eligible for Leukine treatment? Here is a thread about it:

Thanks, Frank, for sharing the links.
There happens to be only clinical trials involving Interferon within my traveling area at the current time. I know nothing about Leukine treatment, so again, thanks for that link. It is something more for me to learn about. :' ) And I have said numerous times to my students…. we are always learning until the day we die.
