Hi, the melanoma calculators found on the web, does it take into account the advances of immunotherapy like keytruda. My second question, what is considered a low or high tumor burden. Many thanx!!!

Short answer regarding all the ones I have seen and tried .. NO. As a matter of fact, the statistics get better every day and they are mainly pre immunotherapy / targeted therapy , meaning they reflect probabilities from about 8-10 years ago. I would not use them, since they are basically worthless. On the other hand they are a sound reminder of how far science has advanced in the last decade.

Thank you, that’s what I thought. Has your situation gone beyond stage 3? Are you stable? How were you treated?

I am still Stage 3 . I was diagnosed 3a in January 2019. Treatment was SLN biopsy, followed by WLE and 12 months of targeted therapy with Tafinlar and Mekinist ,which I concluded in February. Got MRI and CT scan in February and all was still clear. I pray it will stay this way.

Sounds like you have it under control. I just got my keytruda just this past Saturday. I’m already getting very anxious and checking my neck every hour. Hoping this starts working
