How do lymph nodes feel if they have melanoma?  Sore? Just larger?  Hard?  Soft?   I'm just curious.  Thanks!

Typical would be hard, not painful, and not movable, but that is only a generalization.  Certainly you can have pain, movable, and squishy.  Reactive nodes (benign) can be any of the above as well.  If it's a change and doesn't resolve itself in a reasonable period of time, then see your doc.

Mine started out unnoticable except by a pet scan. Then overnight it swelled kind of large. At that time it was soft. It was a little painful cause it is on my collar but also was swelling a little up the neck stretching my stitch scar on my neck. After a couple weeks the neck swelling went down and the lymph swelling went down a little to still large but it seems to have stayed the same size for a couple months now. Also for several weeks it remained soft then it would harden like a rock. I would massage it and it would soften up. Now it is just hard and stays that way.

Have you had a biopsy on it?..I have one swollen lymph node that has went down i believe because of my treatments, they did a biopsy about a month or so ago and found melanoma in it even after i did the 30 day interferon so i am on Yervoy now hoping it works..Mine was squishy and did move some, it was about the size of pinky finger and now i can't feel it at all..Good luck!

No biopsy on the lymph node. I have a huge 9 x 9 cm or so tumor just a few inches away on my shoulder plus lots of other more internal tumors. I'm hoping this Merck EAP PD1 works for me.

Good luck, i hope it works..I'm a little surprised they haven't done a biopsy but i guess since you've already got a tumor that might be their reasoning..
