Hi All –Tomorrow is the last of the combo infusion of ipi/nivo. I’ve had a hard time with side effects which included one hospital admission. Just wondering if anyone experienced less side effects after going to the single medication cycle 5? I know everyone is different and have a range of different side effects from minimal to a lot. My question is for those of you who had significant side effects cycle 1-4 did you find any relief thereafter?

Thank you for your response. I’m hoping that’ll be the case for me. -

I completed four combos with a short break for a one week hospital admission for high fevers. Followed by brain surgery for met removal and brief radiation. Returned for single therapy and finish next month. The single dose is much easier IMHO. I did eventually have some mild diarrhea but it was manageable and eventually went away, not like what some people experience. I was on low steroids for most of the time. Good luck. -

Hello,I only got through three combos before having drug induced liver damage or very high AST and ALT. ALT was 748. I was in hospital gor two months and steroids for one year.
I am on the single dose of opdivo now and have zero side effects.
Regards,

Wow, I’m sorry to hear you had such a hard time with the combo dose. A 2 month hospital had to be awful! You’re a trooper and such a strong person! So glad you’re tolerating the opdivo well with no side effects.
