Happy New Year to everyone, Completed the eighth Keytruda infusion a little while ago. Driving back to Syracuse tomorrow. NYC is getting a little taste of Upstate NY snowfall today. So far the side effects since infusion #6 have been non existent except for some mild fatigue. Will be getting CT scans in three weeks.

      good luck to everyone, Bill

          Hi Bill,

We live in Syracuse.  Who is your doctor?  We go to Anthony Scalzo, as well as Dana Farber with Steve Hodi.  My husband gets his Opdivo infusion at HOA in Syracuse.  Best of luck….

Hi Donna,  I chose to be treated at MSK so I travel every three weeks for my infusion. It would definitely be more convenient to get the infusion in Syracuse but I’m extremely happy with the care I have received down here.  I also have 2 sons that live in the vicinity so I have somewhere to hang my hat when we travel down. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Bill, silly us what is MSK? My husband wondered, especially if it is closer to Syracuse than Dana Farber. Who is your melanoma specialist? Thanks Bill.

It’s Memorial Sloan Kettering in NY.  I travel there from Atlanta for my treatment,

                    Hi Donna,

Thank you Sabklyn for responding I have been away from my computer.  I see Dr. Margaret Callahan and Dr. Paul Chapman. They all work with Dr Wolchok, who is Sabklyn’s doctor. They consist of a group of 6-7 melanoma specialists that all meet and review all the cases routinely. The care that I have received has been first class and the surgeon who has performed my surgeries, Dr. Marc Cohen has exceeded all of my expectations. In the long run it’s a shorter drive for me than going to Boston but it still takes a little more time to get into the city. They do have a facility in West Harrison but none of the doctors in the city hold clinic in West Harrison. Every other time I receive my Keytruda treatment there.  You or your husband are welcome to contact me if you have specific questions, I would be glad to answer any and all.  Dana Farber is also a top notch treatment center and although I don’t know much about Dr Hodi except I see his name on a lot of melanoma research.

                    Regards, Bill
