https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GcMAF "Starting around 2008, GcMAF has been promoted as a cure for cancer, HIV, autism and other conditions. Three out of four of the original studies authored by Yamamoto (published between 2007 and 2009) were retracted by the scientific journals in which they were published in 2014, officially due to irregularities in the way ethical approval was granted. Retraction reasons also included methodological errors in the studies. The integrity of the research, conducted by Nobuto Yamamoto and colleagues, that originally prompted claims regarding cancer and HIV has been questioned.
The UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency and Cancer Research UK has warned the public about spurious claims of clinical benefits, misleadingly based on reduced levels of the alpha-N-acetylgalactosaminidase enzyme (also known as nagalase), whose production might be increased in many cancers.
In 2014 the Belgian Anticancer Fund has communicated serious concerns about published studies on GcMAF by Yamamoto and colleagues.
In 2015 the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) closed a factory in Milton, Cambridgeshire owned by David Noakes' company Immuno Biotech manufacturing GcMAF for cancer treatment. In September 2018 Noakes pleaded guilty to manufacturing a medicinal product without a manufacturer’s licence, selling or supplying medicinal products without market authorisation, and money laundering.
As of 2014 an Israeli company called Efranat was running a clinical trial of GcMAF in people with various kinds of cancer at a hospital in Israel. As of December 2017 Efranet had obtained an orphan designation from the FDA for use of GcMAF in recurrent respiratory papillomatosis and said that it was conducting a Phase I trial in Israel."

Take a look at what Celeste gave you, it is clear that it is a scam, but the whole alternative medicine business is full of similar drugs and claims. It is a business full of used car salesman who thrive on late stage cancer patients that are desperate.. Here are a couple more links for your consideration!!! The home page is so well made that I almost bought some!!!https://www.gcmafplus.com/about/what-is-gcmaf?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI9uHPkv354AIVT1uGCh1-M. https://www.bbc.com/news/health-34326801

Then if you search for the scientist who wrote about his experiments you find this!!!https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1002/ijc.23107. https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s00262-007-0431-z

No, Obtu. Sadly, in my opinion…and that of experts that I reported in my links…GcMAF does not help in melanoma nor in anything other than filling the bank accounts of those who sell it. Ed's links clarify further. In my experience ANYTHING whose tag line starts with something like – "Effective in treating asthma, hangnails, ADHD, psoriasis, releasing gas in public, cancer…." it is clearly a scam. Meaning, when the list of "cures" is as long as your arm – the truth in the advertising is very short. Yours, celeste

Actually Gc-MAF really never was claimed to be a definitive cure for cancer outside the small circle of people that strumentalize the wole thing in order to keeping selling radiation therapy to cure the most common adverse effects of radiation poisoning… or really expensive yogurt. (Not really sure what it’s the worst of the two, but they fight head to head for the title)
To be better clear: no public studies on the biological/biochemical effects of the converted form of the VDBP protein was ever made, not from the National Cancer institute nor from the Belgian Anticancer Foundation (that’s why they used Snopes as source), not from anyone else since Yamamoto paper were retired for inherent vice.
I even managed to make change the Gc-MAF vocabulary voice of the NCI site since they admitted to NOT possess any actual study to confirm or disprove those statements, they still have the VDBP voice, sadly, that provide even more information of which they cannot possibly have a single clue about. https://www.cancer.gov/publications/dictionaries/cancer-drug/def/modified-vitamin-d-binding-protein-macrophage-activator-ef-022
They really are trying to imply that their academicians flock that used as employment reference the ability to remember a randomic alphanumeric series of 40 character could possibly go out from their impact factor path to make a study on a potential life saving substance?! How could they possibly even manage to think about it?
I mean they have to pass the psychological test if they want to keep working: if you believes anticholinergics, antineoplastics, radioactive substances are poisonous = you are fired! Trump Style. [Probably new Governative rule have made the phrase mandatory] $1.3 billion/year for studying better way to redirect the radiation IN the body, “No time to waste here, we are making history of Science”.Not even the WHO have a clear idea about the VDBP biological functions and that brought to the Vitamin D IU requirements to be declared at least 19000 IU below the natural daylight absorption of an healthy persona that can stay outside in the sun for more than 20 minute per day (that doesn’t live in Alaska or in a crypt in the Carpathian)
All the information that nowadays we possess about the protein are simply resumed in the described effects of an activation of macrophages brought by the conversion of the inactive form VDBP from the macrophage itself. For the rest the implications of cytokines, macrophage and lymphocytes in fighting cancer cells was already knew (Allan Goldstein/Stanley Cohen).
This doesn’t lead to the resolution of cancer, it just reactivate the innate immune system helping it to better attack specific cancer cells antigens thanks an improvement in antigen presentation.
So it make it a non lethal disease. Still a wonderful thing for a 9,6 millions of death per year problem.
The only other safe information are the one provided from a 2010 study founded by the DoD:
https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0013428
That basically explain that the peptide fraction
[ac-tptelaklvnkrse] of Gc-MAF have shown inhibition of metastatic and cancerous cells even in absolute absence of macrophages, so yea in opposition to the blood extracted form the substances it’s pretty neat and fully safe. (In the end we all would have the possibility of producing it if we were all healthy).
Legally, being a non dangerous peptide fraction it’s still available everywhere for cosmetic purposes. Obviously Chinese costs aren’t the same of American peptides manufacturing industry.
Sadly no one knows how to explain to oncologists that they don’t have any fucking clue of what they are doing, they really still think that they are scientist, even if more than one third of the 27 millions people that every year get cancer will die eventually, many in the same year of the diagnosis.
But I mean if Neuropsychiatry it’s still a thing everything can be a better way of doing science, even turd doctors injecting people with turds (before you laugh remember that, sadly, fecal transplant it’s really a thing that your “professional” Md.Turd would do, maybe just right after a chemotherapy for re-establish the gut microbiome killed by the “meds”).
Even Trump’s melatotan orange skin have more science than Freud in it.
Peace.
