I’m really sorry if this subject has been posted before. I searched but didn’t find anything.

Two weeks ago was my first monthly dose of Opdivo. It all went well and it didn’t seem to be much worse, with side effects, than it usually was. Then this Friday, exactly when I would’ve had my next dose if I were still on the two week program, I crashed just as bad as if I had it. I fell asleep at dinner time and slept almost 20 hours. Which is exactly what happens after each infusion. Has anyone else had this happen to them? It was so strange!

          Hi There,

i can’t say I have crashed since going to once a month, But I have definitely noticed an increase in fatigue the last few weeks before the next infusion. On the flip side, for the first few days after an infusion I have noticed I have a hard time sleeping. My understanding is that it has to with the proteins in the meds. Your body is use to a smaller every two week cycle and will now need to adapt to every 4.  I’ve only done 2 rounds at once a month but my understanding is that it does get easier. So hang in there!

I've only had one monthly dose, and go tomorrow for my second. This past week I've been exhausted. I also started school last week (middle school teacher), so I just figured it was that in combination with Opdivo- but maybe it's also because it's close to my next treatment.

Hi, hmmm, sounds like a Ghost or phantom reaction, like having a tooth ache & the tooth in question has been pulled 10 years ago! Might be a bit of “Physc” build up, you knew your “old”, scheduled infusion date was approaching (then every 2 weeks) and well, the day came & you had a reaction. The mind is crazy like dat..
