Hello,
Does anyone know of CAR T therapy?
We have tried immunotherapy but with no luck, and we also tried targeted therapy but it is causing far too much toxicity.
So, we are thinking of this new “clinical trial” therapy and I was wondering if anyone has experience/ information about it.
Thanks,
S

Here is some basic info: https://chaoticallypreciselifeloveandmelanoma.blogspot.com/2017/05/proof-of-concept-car-t-and.html
And 'BrianP' is an amazing human and an amazing example of its usefulness:
I'm sure he can provide better detailed info. celeste

Summer,
I think CAR T is definitely worth looking into. I felt very blessed to have the opportunity to do the trial I participated in. I would look closely at TIL trials. That would have been my first choice if I would have had a cooperating tumor to harvest T-cells from. The trial I enrolled in did not require a tumor to harvest cells which is also nice for those who are surgery adverse.
Unfortunately the trial currently says not recruiting but I know they are continuously opening and closing it based on patient load. If you are interested in the trial message me and I can give you some points of contact and can tell you more about the trial.
Brian
