      Hi all,

I thought I would share some good news…I had my first brain MRI two months after CyberKnife radiation and re-starting Braf/Mek in October. My brain mets have shrunk 1/3-1/4 and some of the smaller ones (I have 8) are barely detectable. The swelling of my brain has gone down and the mid-line shift caused by the mets has started to right itself. My radiation oncologist put me on “surveillance” with another brain MRI in March 2022. I go back next Wednesday for routine CT scans and see my medical oncologist; we’ll see what he wants to do next regarding medication.

Definitely the best news I could have ever hoped for and an unexpected early Christmas gift! I will still continue Braf/Mek and possibly add immunotherapy once I get off Dex (currently on 1mg), but for a first follow-up, I’ll certainly take it!

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and best wishes for effective treatments and good news! Melanoma sucks but we are fighters!!

      Much love,

      Jenn

Thank you both! CT scans of the rest of my body were all clear, so I am just continuing to fight these pesky brain mets!

Many wishes for a happy New Year to everyone!
