My father's melanoma is now metastasized to his lungs.  Awaiting PD-1 trial which starts in week.  He has been complaining of major aches and pains in his bones.  I am fearful it could have spread to his bones.  Is that even possible?  This waiting for treatment to begin is so hard.  Thanks.

          unfortunately yes.

i have over 10 lesions on my bones…hips, femur, sacrum, pelvis etc….aswell as brain, spleen.

so yes any organ is possible.

they can do bone radiation that can shrink the lesions and keep pain down depeding on where they are located etc.

may I ask where you are located?

Matt, sory about your bone mets. Could you please describe what syptoms do you get from them (e.g., pain is constant or intermittent, occurs with movement or with rest or during the night). I have a pain around a knee for a few days (feeling at night also) and it drives me crasy. Thanks.

He's in NJ.  About to begin clinical trial at NY Hospital with Dr Gary Shwartz.  Pd-1 with another drug.  He just had a brain scan last week which was clear.  Last Pet was mid Decemeber where they saw the multiple lung nodules.  It started as anal melanoma diagnosed in March.
