I had another good set of scans completing 29 months in the Zelboraf phase II trial.  I was given another six week supply that will take me past the 2 1/2 year mark.

Dick, Congratulations!! Thanks for all your posts as they are inspiring and give hope to others. I would like to ask if your experience has always been positive or were there ups and downs in the early months? I ask because my son in law had WBR that did nothing except grow more disease. The Z has done great things as all the tumors are shrinking. However, just this week he was told to stop taking it as his liver enzymes were elevated. Good news is CT showed his liver is good. So, I think he'll be back on Z in a couple days. I am hopeful things will settle down soon for him and he will enjoy the same positive results you have been blessed with. I just hope the roller coaster rides will slow down.

      Best to you

Dick I am so glad to read this. I've been on Zelboraf for 4 months now with little side effects, mhy presenting symptoms were much like yours. I had my bi-monthly CT scan ysterday and see my Oncologist at the end of the day on Tuesday. I've developed a mild cough that I'm so hoping isn't a symptom that the cancer is back in my lungs. it's comforting to see some of us stage IV patients live well and longer.
