4 years clear….. but

    Hello,

    Hello,

    Haven't been around here much in awhile. It has been 4ish years since my last run in with mm. Been checked evey 6 months since and have a appointment this Wednesday that has me worried for the first time. My doctor and I have been keeping a close eye on a pigmented lesion on my lower eyelid margin for years. No changes till about 2 months ago… So one more day and I will know if we are going back down the road. Here is a pic.. notice the dark spot thats new 🙁 in the last few months. Hope it is not as it looks but it sure looks suspicious to me. At a minium going to have to have a tricky biopsy…

      You are smart to get this biopsied; why take a chance? But I hope and expect that it is NOT melanoma. Keep us posted!

      UPDATE: Went to my exam today, Doctor agreed and will have shave biopsy next tuesday.

        Not sure – I guess shave the eyelid margin area and send the tissue out for path. My doctor thinks that will be the best route to see what we are dealing with.

      Sorry to hear it was in-situ, but I'm glad it wasn't worse!!  Why do you need a 2cm margin – I thought margins for in-situ were 5mm?

        the lesion is/was 7mm wide on the top so 5mm each side 17mm so…. not  a full  2cm but still a lot on the eyelid
