Is bevacizumab (Avastin) standard for choroidal melanoma-related exudative retinal detachment (ERD) following plaque radiation?
Thanks,

I believe Avastin for OM is still considered an "off-label" use (which is why my insurance wouldn't pay for it). I've heard good things about it from some people, but it had zero effect for me, so we stopped after 4 injections.
My retina was already detached before plaque, so I don't know if or how ERD might be different. Sounds like a question for a retina doc.

I think so too. I know that Lucentis is also used and I believe is much less expensive.
Check out this link for Lucentis. They assists patients with the cost of treatment.
Good luck
