Patients that have failed immunotherapy are faced with some pretty tough choices, clinical trials or old school treatments. TIL’s research is not new but this process is and the trial is showing strong results with patients that have previously failed immunotherapy. Here is the link so you can read for yourself, as well the trial identifier, which if you go to locations (near bottom of page) will show you if it is offered at a hospital near you!!! https://www.onclive.com/web-exclusives/autologous-til-therapy-elicits-durable-responses-in-pd-1-treated-metastatic-melanoma?p=1 https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02360579

Hi Ed, im wondering if ill get to do some TIL injectables when i go in, we did touch on the subject Thursday but with PV10…Ill know more when im admitted…having my now “Baseball” size tumor on my side is an excellent candidate for injectables!!-

Mike am glad they mentioned injectables in your appointment Thursday. T-VEC really helped me (made the pembro work I think although maybe it was the TVEC alone) and why not PV-10? My guess is it works better for low tumour burden as I know it didnt help some of the other patients in my hospital.I like this TIL study – thanks for posting Ed – I did not understand the details but it seemed to be only taking patients who had tried all other options, they wanted to take them on!!!
Mike – note that Angeles Clinic was recruiting for this, I hope this Jang guy is good, and if they are doing surgery and then injectables, seems a good approach. But I hope he follows the other options and can direct you there if neededgood luck Mark

I had just been reading these reports and they do seem very promising, Ed!!! Mike, there are several locations in CA actively recruiting –United States, California
University of California San Diego Moores Cancer Center Recruiting
La Jolla, California, United States, 92093
The Angeles Clinic and Research Institute Recruiting
Los Angeles, California, United States, 90048
California Pacific Medical Center Recruiting
San Francisco, California, United States, 94115And….I don’t see anything in the “exclusions” that looks like it would disallow your participation….but that’s just me doing a quick look through. Just in case…..
Thanks for posting, Edster and best of luck in this tough spot melanoma has put you in, Mike! c

Hi Celeste – we were thinking and posting alike! I have to check the numbers they seem too good but its great they are recruiting with so few exclusion criteria -basically excluding those who didnt try the usual options first, only taking those who had been pre-treated! -

That Dr. Jang cat commented on Injectables, PV-10, But now that Mark spoke of TVEC, maybe he said TVec not PV-10! I May have mixed them 2 up….haha if PV-10 Is more for Low Tumor Burden folks, then I’m sure it was TVEC he said….
