Hi everyone. I just went from stage 3 to 4….found out yesterday. I have a 10 cm mass  on the head of my pancreas and another 9 cm mass lower down in my abdomen. I was wondering if others have tumors this size or larger. I am dumbfounded by the size…..

      Hi Anon-

I cant answer your question specifically, but wanted to say how sorry I am for your recent news…..

Were the found on routine scans, or were you not feeling well?

What are you being told will be your treatment plan?

      Keep us posted….

      Hi

I know this seems so terrible. I can still remember the day of my diagnosis except it was straight to stage 4, 8 cm mass in my lung. No other primary. Get into the immunotherapy and kick this thing!!!!

Yes, I am one of those.  I have/had multiple tumors in the 8cm to 10cm size.  Several of mine were sub-cutaneous, causing huge lumps right up on the surface.  Depending on where they are located they can be very painful and disfiguring.  I had the worst one's (3) treated with radiation which was very effective in bringing their size under control.  I still am trying make some determinations on the plus/minus of treating some internal ones this way.  Unfortunately for me I remain a non-responder to immunotherapy even though at this time I remain on the maintenance dose of Nivlomab after the ipi/nivo combo.  I think these large ones may be more resistant but it seems that with everything, everyone responds differently.

      Hi Anon,

Unbelievable, right? I have a 9 cm mass on my adrenal gland. Wouldn't even know it was there until recently. It's stubborn — doesn't want to respond to any treatment so far. I'm getting ready this week to start stereotactic radiation to that tumor specifically. I need to slow it down while I'm in a washout period before starting a clinical trial.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I had started feeling queasy…went to the dr thinking I had an ulcer and ended up hearing that I have this huge mass on my pancreas and the other lower in my abdomen. I'm still reeling. I find out tomorrow what my "plan" is for moving forward.

May I ask, how long had you been stage 3 before this now recent stage 4 diagnosis? Sorry you're going through this.
