Bio

In December 2015, I noticed a small red, raised blemish on the inside of my upper right arm. Since I was planning on retiring from the Veterinary Industry in April 2016, I waited until then to see the doctor.

I retired April 30th, 2016, quit smoking May 1st and saw my local dermatologist on May 2nd. By this time, the growth was about the size of a pencil eraser and, even though the doc thought it wasn’t anything to worry about, he removed it because it was ugly. On May 10th, I was informed that I had malignant melanoma.
