Sounds like a good plan so far Artie. I think you are a lighthouse, not only to me.

i saw a radiation specialist on Monday. She said we should keep the rays as an option for later as I have currently no pain and desease in the bones is stable. She also said that there are great differences in the susceptibility of melanoma to radiation. What works well for one does not forcibly hel the other.

Hang in there. Keeping fingers crossed for a lasting success with anti-PD1.

      take care,

      Chris

So sorry to read about your dad's bad condition.

I do not know enough about how big exactly your dad's problem is. I am stage four, currently on the IPI, with a very high tumor burden.

If your dad is BRAF + he should at least get the chance to try a BRAF inhibitor. If not still anti-PD 1 could be a very good option.

as I do not know where you live I have no idea whether those drugs are available in your country.

I can only recommend to contact Catherine Poole from the melanoma international foundation Who is very knowledgeable about the situation in different countries. you can easily find their website on Google.

      hope this helps!

I don't know exactly when the BRAF fail happened but it took me  about 3weeks from the staging with the conclusion that there is progression to the first dose.
