Bio

38 years of age mother of 2 ( 4 years girl and 6 years old boy) My melanoma showed up during my second pregnancy. It went undiagnosed for 2 years as the derm told me it was normal pregnancy skin changes. When they took it out, I was stage 3A , 1.5mm nonulcerated tumor, with 0.45 cm micromet in the sentinel lymph node. Underwent lymph node dissection with no additional positive nodes.Interferon for 3 months.
I was NED for 18 months, I had chest Xray in september that showed an abnormality and a CT was ordered. CT did not pick up anything on that region, but a 5mm nodule was noted. Doctor felt it was an incidental finding and the nodule is too small to investigate. Rescan in 2 months. The nodule grew to 1.2 cm , we are in shock!!
