      Charlie,

           Reading your post struck a nerve with me.  I lost my wife after 32 years of marriage to this monster.  My 2 sons and I think about this every single day of our lives.  When I read about you and Kim I was reminded how this disease hurts many across all different types of people's lives.  I salute your strength and courage in this fight.

      Good for you Ali.  You are one of the very fortunate ones to get a good response from ipi.  And after only one treatment.  I'm sure having great news like this is so up lifting for you.  Prayers for continued great success.

           Reading your post reminds me how much I also hate this disease.  Unfortunately I lost my wife about a year and a half ago.  The fact that you had a partial response to IL-2 and now starting Ipi may lead to a good systemic response.  The 2 do sometimes have a synergistic effect.  Please stay on top of things and be aggressive in pursuing your treatment options.  I'm hoping and praying you get ahead of this disease.

      I'm sorry for your situation with liver mets and your battle with melanoma.  My wife, before she passed away had high calcium levels in her blood.  She had lytic lesions on some of her bones like the femur and pelvic bones.  The bones being damaged by melanoma caused the high calcium levels in her blood.  Some of the symptoms included mental confusion and fatigue before they got her levels lowered.  Mike

      Ali,  I hope you have continued success with your IL-2 treatments.  The treatment is brutal, but hopefully the shrinkage will continue.
