Bio

May 2015 my husband was diagnosed with Stage IV BRAF melanoma. He is 45 years old. We have been married for 12 years and have two children. He just started his treatment of chemo. He is taking a combination of Tafinlar and Mekinist. He had no other symptoms besides iron deficiency anemia and after an EGD and Colonoscopy the melanoma was found in his duodenum. He had a lymph node removed from under his left arm and there are a few possible sites on the small bowel mesentery. We just started treatment and our oncologist said that this is treatable with survival of years. He had a CT and PET scan in May. We are hoping for the best outcomes and are trying to stay positive.
