I would try narrowing in prospective risk of relapse, using prognostic tests such as MelaGenix or DecisionDx, then decide to go for adjuvant trial or not.

Currently, there are two different tests available that narrow in long term risk based on strength of certain genes measured

SNB would have given you peace of mind. Now you can still go for some genetic risk assessment using the excised tumor tissue. Also regular ultrasound to evaluate lymph nodes. Best wishes!

I agree a specialist is key to decision making. CLND so far has not been shown to be life saving. It may not even prevent spread to other organs. My advice is to go for some of the prognostic tests looking at individual genetic risks. Would be all different if CLND makes you tumor free. Melanoma unfortunately often uses blood stream for progression.

Just picked up your story, from my experience, I would expect two thirds false positive SNL micromets, so be cautious regarding Yervoy and its toxicity, go for 2nd opinion and more tests to narrow in risk

Would certainly get SLNB, after all SLNB will most likely be clear, if not 2nd opinion is crucial because of possibility of false positive SLNB, potentially leading in wrong direction

No marketing, also no standard care yet, but these genetic tests are non-invasive, sole option to look deeper into biology especially metastatic potential

I think its best to grab as much prognostic information as possible upfront, including gene tests, since it needs to be cured. May try DecisionDx or MelaGenix along with sentinel node biopsy.

Sooo much going on. Recently saw MelaGenix 2nd generation gene expression test.
