I am a 41 year old wife, sister, daughter, friend and dental hygienist. I am active. I enjoy running. Because of my cancer and the surgeries it necessitated, I was in surgical menopause at age 40. I have been married for 17 years to the love of my life, who has saved my life. Truly my guardian.we have no children. We have a nine year old, soft, 4-legged best friend. She is a great comfort on the crummy days. I am living a dream that many with my diagnosis will not. I have had no evidence of disease since 3/12. Last month I passed the 2 year mark having been NED. Most people I knew, myself included, probably didn’t think I would be here know. I didn’t think I would outlive my dog. That was a tough night. But I’m here, for a reason I believe.
