Bio

Diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma in April of 2000. Had a egg size lymph node removed from left groin in March 2000. In June 2000 was diagnosed as stage 3 metastatic melanoma, and course of treatment was 1 year of interferon. Started in early July of 2000, finished treatment in June of 2001. Have been NED until 2019. LDH level done in March showed elevated level. Saw ONC in May. Had an order to be retested beginning of August. I jumped the gun and went mid July. Higher level, jumped by about 70 points. Went for a CT scan in July, showed enlarged lymph nodes in the retroperitoneal cavity. Well that got me a biopsy in August, which came back positive for melanoma. Surgeon said I was not a candidate for resection. Asked for a referral to a different surgical oncologist, waiting for that phone call. Got the approval letter for opdivo/yervoy. Have an appointment with my oncologist on the 18 of Sept and will find out what exactly we are doing.
