Bio

I had skin Melanoma in 1989 excised. In 2013 during a routine exam, my PCP found a mass in my lower abdomen. (See treatment history). After four surgeries, while preparing for Interleukin 2 Immunotherapy, I started sketching and have sketched ever since. Sketching allows me to observe, process my concerns, and navigate complex decisions as well as entertain myself and share with family, friends and healthcare providers. I just printed a book of my sketchbooks: “Sketching My Way Through Metastatic Melanoma”.
I am Urban Sketcher living in Portland, Oregon with my husband Bill and their cat Callie.
