    Went to oncologist tonight with all intentions of starting Biochemo therapy. First they tell me because last surgery and melanoma now in soft tissue under arm I am now moved to high risk stage 4. Still some activity they want to watch from pet scan on Monday. They will send scans to surgeon for his opinion. We set next scan for six weeks and see if activity becomes more. No biochemo. We leave with mixed feelings. 20 minutes later in car on way home surgeon calls it is cancer to close to nerves and pectoral muscle. I say to him okay where to next. He says go get chemo now don’t wait.

      Wow, that is quite a night!  I'm curious if you've done any other type of treatment?  Have they tested your tumors for BRAF?  Just curious why they're starting you on bio chemo.  Is there any other mets in your body?

        braf negative Interferon not shown to do much. All mets in same area upper back and under arm. newest 2 mets near pectorals no surgery. Bio showing 15%+ success rate best option with status.

        Because all of my mets have been in the same area of the shoulder auxilla and not moving to other parts of the body Yervoy is not an option yet. Most likely next if Bio has no results. I am at Kaiser riverside Dr. Gailani tops in so cal
