    Hi all-

New to community-diagnosed with Stage 1a in Jan, had WLE in Feb.

Here on the gulf coast, it gets easily tops 100+ degrees starting in April. I am now at war with the sun, and I'm trying to find clothing that won't make me roast and will still provide ample sun protection. I have several of the columbia-style fishing shirts but I'm looking for other clothes that can breathe but still offer good sun protection. Also, recommendations for swimwear along the same lines.

    Thanks!

I have found great end of the season deals from Land's End and UVSkinz in the past. I recently purchased a really reasonably priced rashguard from Zulily with bikini bottom(only bad thing is if it doesn't fit you can not return, but I lucked out). I even found a cheap Nike rashguard on Amazon. If you Google SPF clothing there are more company's out there. Some are quite expensive, but when I think of how much I spend on sunscreen it's worth it!

There are numerous brand that contain SPF clothing LL bean, SA Clothing, Under Armour Fishing, Columbia Performance sportwear, HUK clothing. They are so many brands on amazon as well that have SPF specific clothing rated at UPF 50 or more.

Yup….Coolibar!  I bought one of their sun blocking umbrellas.  It's great.  Very very very silver, but provides good protection.  Also have a hat and some of their clothing.  REI has SPF clothing and hats tool.
