Strange mole kinda..

    Bit gross guys I apoligise but my question is ive had a mole for a good while now looks circular some ways but looks like at the top right some of it has faded away making it something like a letter b if you know what I mean. Its bright brown and on the palm of my hand, no pain, itchyness or anything and its smooth like the rest of my hand..

      Acral melanoma (found on palms and soles of feet) is most often found on darker skinned individuals.  Your mole doesn't look particularly remarkable to me.  If a mole that is otherwise unremarkable fades away, I don't tend to worry about it.  It is "regressing" and regression is a normal process.  However, if the mole is suspicious (either before or during it's fading), it needs to be checked out. 

      Change is something I'm very passionate about but I typically think "change for the worst".  Yours doesn't appear to be changing for the worse.  But change IS something I do believe should be discussed with a professional and if you think this lesion has changed, it is worth discussing with a derm.  Together you can decide if a biopsy makes sense.  Do what makes YOU comfortable, no one else.  As a side note, I've had two lesions on my hand (one on palm and one between my fingers) that faded away and I just let them.  They were not something I was remotely worried about to begin with.  This is MY experience.  As I said, you need to do what makes you comfortable and discuss your own situation with a derm.

        Thank you very much for the response I really do appreciate it.

        Did you see the picture then in the second post? Silly question but wanted to make sure it looked clear enough to see, do you honestly think then its not much to worry about and would be pretty normal then?

        The bottom line is I (or anyone) could say it doesn't look serious but if it bothers you, then it IS serious. Janner's advice to have it checked out if it bothers you, is the best advice any of us can give you.
