I think of you daily. Melanoma is not for sissies. I don’t even know what cancer #2 denotes!!! But, as one of the strongest and most beautiful souls I know, I am certain you are handling whatever you are dealt with incredible grace!!! I hope there has been no SHARTING!!! Hang tough! Shalom. les

Awww hey! I wish we lived closer together! It would be fun to say hey and thanks for thinking of me in real life. But alas such as it is.

I’m doing allright. I take my daily “vitamin” chemo dose and have made peace with it for the most part. The biggset hassles are peeling feet and the potential for explosive sharts. Oh yes and the perpetual drag on energy.

But, I’m breathing much, much better than I was 6 weeks ago and I’m grateful for that!

Thanks for the shout out! I trust you’ve got something fun planned for this weekend?

      Shalom,
      Julie

Wouldn’t that be cool??? I bet we could get into all kinds of trouble together!!!!

I called my nivo “bug juice” and my last chemo “poison”!!! You are much more charitable and positive than I, I fear!!! Sorry about the feet. Do they hurt and burn? I hope not!! I have some experience being a “shart risk”! Having lost a good bit of my ileum and ileocecal valve in my last surgery I face some interesting situations. Mornings take at least three ta-dah’s before you travel in order to avoid being shart (or worse) likely. However, it has been so hot, that I try to get my run in as early as I can. The juxtaposition of those goals/necessities has created some “interesting” conditions!!! I mean, when the “need arises” does one run faster in order to get home quickly? Or does one walk? In order to keep your cheeks squeezed to a greater degree? I’ve tried both! Usually end up with some sort of insane combo!! I’ve thought about stopping by a few neighbors along the way, as well as a fire station, to see if they would be cool acting as a pit stop should the need arise along my route! BAHAHAHA!!!! What ‘cha gonna, right?

I have one more week to get some personal sewing and other project complete. Because…..I’m going to be the MOB!!!! Yep! My daughter is getting married in October! Not only that, I am THE DRESS maker! So September will be dedicated to making dress 1 as a test case and dress 2 that should be the real deal!! She’s going pretty low key, so hopefully I can do a good job. Just want to have it as she wishes it to be! We are all excited!!!

So, that’s my current crazy. How long will you have to take your ‘vitamin’? I am so glad that you are breathing better!!! That sounds like good news for many reasons!!!! Are you still able to work through this?

You are a wonder!! Hope you get to have some rest and fun this weekend, too! Much love, les

Hey Les, oh boy we would get into so much trouble together, but think about the world’s problems we would solve! Snark would never be so productive or fun!

I am now evaluating my traveling route based on the availability of toilets along the way. I hadn’t thought of fire houses. Thanks!!!

Mother of the bride and dressmaker is awesome! I’m so excited for you. May you be able to grant all of your daughter’s wishes and desires for her special day! Pictures will be on your blog, yes?

The plan for the vitamin is to take it for as long as it works. Like the mel targeted therapies, the TKIs have a run, and then don’t work anymore. and then I move from being a mutant to a resister. Some on TKIs have gone as long as 10-15 years, but I understand that is not the norm. I’ve never aimed for normal So I’m hoping to be a very cooperative mutant for a very, very long time.

Yes, still working, sort of. Being so tired means it takes more will power to get up and do work. But in the end, it provides for stuff like camping and hanging out with my family and dog. And to be honest, much of work I really like–one I’ve found the oomph to get started and do it. So it’s all good!

Enjoy the long weekend coming up! May you have wonderful weather and company to enjoy.

        Shalom to you and yours!
