So, the Drs told me they are able to do the SRS, but there are so many, it wouldn’t be very effective. Today I go in and get fitted for the crazy hood thngy…

It’s okay to be afraid. You are certainly MIGHTY!!! While SRS can be the preferred way to go…so is life without melanoma!! And if we can’t have that…we do the best we can!!! There is a legitimate numerical and geographic point where the number of sites treated with SRS is tantamount to WBR anyway. So ~ if that is where your docs feel you are…then you do what you have to do!!! The entire radiation to the brain thing is more than un-fun. I had SRS with a halo in 2010 and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Try not to let the hood and paraphernalia get you too rattled. You can do this. Will be holding you in my heart. yours, celeste

I hope the radiation helps you. I am calm during PET scans, but I felt claustrophobic under the hood that held my head still during radiation to a met under my jaw.
