    I finished two rounds of SRS yesterday and today, to hopefully clear up my brain. Everything treatable has been treated, anything lingering, if anything, are too small to do anything about right now anyway, the additional noted "spots" are no bigger than 1mm or so and although unlikely, the doctors and I will continue to hope they’re just blood vessels or something that won’t show up in a future MRI.

    I received an unexpected phone call today and it turns out my prescription for the Zelboraf has been approved, processed, shipped and I should be able to pick it up at 1pm tomorrow, not in two weeks as was expected and planned. So this is great news. Relieving. 🙂 As with anything, I know there’s no guarantee it will work, or how it will benefit me… how soon, or for how long, what side effects I’ll experience. But I’ll be doing something that may work, something I may benefit from, maybe quickly, for a long time, with minimal side effects. It's something proactive I've been waiting two months for, and a step in a direction that could potentially save my life. So I feel good about that. I just have to stay focused, and continue to plan, hope, pray for the best possible outcome. Thank you all for being by my side through all of this. Here's to tomorrow and the next leg of the journey. -Kevin

      I'm so glad the Zelboraf was approved and shipped.  You're definitely on the right track.  Kevin, keep that wonderful fighting spirit.  That's a super powerful weapon of yours!!!

      Hi Kevin,

      I'm so happy for you that things are going in a positive direction for you 🙂  I wish you a very longer duribility on your new drug regiment with minimal side effects, but better yet no side effects.

        Kevin sounds like things are moving nicely forward for you. My dad has been on Zelboraf for 6 months and so far so good, no new spots have turned up as yet since starting the drug. Some are on this drug for over a year……why not you? And in the meantime they are working on a potential solution for those relapse on the drug.

        HOORAY you are going on BRAF and it came quicker than you thought.   I am hopeful that you will see and feel  it working quickly .  The wonderful thing about BRAF is when it is working it works  fast and usually the side effects are very doable.  BE VERY careful of the sun effect, that is where I got into trouble under estimating the how much sun I could tolerate which turned out to be very little before I burned.  I wish you a quick and looooooong  response!!

        I just wanted you to know you are truly an amazing person and huge inspiration for me, you always state the facts about what is going on and put a positive slant on how you are dealing with it.  I am always looking for your posts and hoping and praying that things are working for you.  You are a true champion!!  I believe you should know that there are soo many people on this site supporting you with thoughts and prayers.

        I've got these pills next to me. Little nervous, but also excited. Just waiting for confirmation from the doctor about a question I have, (bottle says take 4 a day, paperwork says take twice a day, so I'm assuming take 2, twice a day. But I just want to make sure I do it right, and make sure it's ok to take at the same time with the anti-seizure medication I'm still on.) Soon as I get the ok from him though, I'll start, and hope for the best 🙂
