I wish I could send relief to you and your mother over the internet, but obviously I can’t.  Are the doctors giving her anything?

It is s blessing you are there with her and watching out for her.  Prayers for her and you.

Morphin for pain killer and zolfresh for sleep

Not knowing specifics about your mom's condition as well as treatment options at your facility limits the ability of those of us here to make recommendations.  However, immunotherapy or targeted therapy, if your mom is BRAF positive – a mutation that tumors can be tested for, can sometimes be effective in treating melanoma.  The BRAF inhibitors, for patients who are BRAF positive, can sometimes work very quickly – thereby getting rid of tumors and the pain they cause more rapidly than immunotherapy.

Here is a post I put together that talks about treatment options:

However, if you are in need of pain control only – IV and oral opioids are often used.  Patients can be given pain pumps that allows them (or their family) to administer pain medicines through an IV.  Nerve blocks….kind of like an epidural often used when women deliver babies…can also be helpful.  And sometimes, radiation to tumors can not only treat the tumor…but by causing it to shrink provides a patient  decreased their pain.

I hope some of this helps and your mom attains relief.  I wish you both my best.  Celeste

I have had tumors in my lungs and brain.  I had the BRAF mutation and my tumors disappeared quickly on Tafinlar/Mekinist.  It was not a permanent fix for me but it helped tremendously for quite a while.  I hope she gets some relief soon.
