      Hello everyone,

I noticed today "something" under my skin, which is about 1 cm (or larger???).  it has a pink-red circle about 5 on the surface, but it feels under the skin: not sure about the shape, but it is firm, attached to the overlyink skin (when taken between the fingers, it has a dimple sign associated with dermatofibroma), but movable agains a deeper tissues. I'll be trying tiger an appointment with modern ASAP, but Ian so scared. Can dermatofibroma be felt mostly under the skin??? Can subq have a dimple sign????  Thanks for listening. I am a Stage 1 B patient, 11 years after diagnosis.

                Hello,

ive had several subcutaneous tumors and they are usually a little tender, and I can palate them and kind of roll them around under the skin. My doctor describes them as "tomatos" because they give a little when you press on them and they are not rock hard. Also, melanoma grows In a spindle shape. Kind of like little footballs… I know its hard to feel the shape sometimes. I would have it looked at for sure, does it seem to be getting bigger?

Thank you for the response. I went to see my dermatologist who is melanoma specialist and she believes that thsi is an epidermal inclusion cyst:, the lesion is on vulva on the hairy area and it is about half inch in terms of size  I pray that this is an epidermal inclusion cyst. When i inititially discovered it, i tried to palpate is, moved around at all and it become painful to touch/palpation.  The derm gave me an antibiotic because of possible inflammation and now it is not that tender. The ovetlying skin is reddish, but when you press ot it it blanches. With regard of the shape it is more oval rather than  round, but it is hard to say. It is a splindle shape???? I am scared again. Will go to excise it in a couple of weeks: wish it could be done sooner.
