      Hello,

My OB/Gyn is trying to convince me using Mirena (hormonal IUD that has progesterone) because of very heavy periods. I am not sure about it because of my Stage 1 diagnosis. Have anyone used it with mm diagnosis?

I can't answer you from a melanoma patient perspective, but as a breast cancer survivor I can tell you that both my breast surgeon and my endocrinologist said "no more hormones of any type".  I had to stop testosterone, estradiol, and growth hormone even though I am considered disease-free.
