Hi. I have a upcoming pet test scheduled. I was told that I had micromets in 1 sentinol lymph node. What are the chances that these micromets spread to my organs? And chances the pet will be positive. Sorry I’m just really scared.

It was found in my left armpit and I’m 3b. This is my first scan.

It is normal to be nervous.

The thing that helped me was to plan on spread and have plan B,C,D already in mind so you can discuss with your doctor.  What clinical trials are availible etc.

If it comes back negative you are OK for now.  Still have plans ready and keep evaluating them as melanoma treatments and trials are like trying to hit a moving target, but in a good way.  There are breakthroughs in treatments at least yearly nowadays.

Plan for the worst, hope for the best, and take the time needed to get through this stressful time.  The waiting is always the hardest part.

      Best of luck!

I totally agree. Hope for the best but be knowledgeable and have your thoughts ready. I just thought 2 months ago that I had joined the stage 4 club but false alarm. You could be just fine.
