I recommend that you go to the website of the largest medical center in Charlotte, and look at the profiles of their physicians, and then look for one that specializes in melanoma.

Or ask your doctor for a referral.

We are in Charlotte as well and my husband is under the care of Dr. Asim Amin at Levine, the top Melanoma oncologist in the area. You may want to contact his office for a dermatologist recommendation. We are way past that point, stage iv since December. Best of luck to you.

Thank you. I've had over 50 biopsies since November of 2012. I've had 4 melanomas and two basal and squamous cell diagnosis. I've had 5 biopsies come back benign. All others were atypical or pre cancerous. I recently had 10 biopsies, I go back on the 31st for 2 excursions and 6 cryo treatments. I feel like I'm on a constant circle. Skin check, schedule biopsies, edit 4 to 6 weeks for the appointment, have biopsies, wait 2 weeks for results, get results, schedule excursions and cryo and by now we're past time for my 3 month skin check and we do it all over again. It's been this way for almost 3 years! There has to be s better way.

I really do need to see a Doctor that can at least do Mohs surgeries.

My dermatologist told me that if she took every suspicious spot off of my body, I would be miserable. Every time I turn around there is a new suspicious spot.

        Any recommendations appreciated.
