I have been on MK3475 for 14 weeks receiving 7 treatments.  I feel wonderful, my liver enzymes have decresed (LDH by 25%) but my tumors have multiplied and increased.   I believe that the scans are not truly  demonstrating what's going on inside of me.  I was wondering if anyone else has had this experience?

I have not had my first set of scans yet since starting on the pD1. I am sure you were very disappointed in these results. I know my Dr mentioned that sometimes he doesnt think they wait long enough to determine if the response is positive. What does your Dr say? Are they planning to keep you in the trial and determine after next scans?

Yes, I will receive my treatments until the next set of scans one month after the ones I just had.  I am feeling wonderful so I believe that the scans just recorded the inflammation from the drug.  That's my story until proven wrong.  i have had no side effects from the drug.  I wish you the best.  Continue to be a Melanoma Warrior!
